'Four seasons in the castle' - photo competition

The Five Gorges Földváry-Castle "Four éshifts in the kin the deep" – is launching a photo competition for amateur photographers. The aim of the competition is to seasons change by capturing a rich imagees create a collection that can be used in future marketing activities. Photo opportunity
- From 1 July 2024 to 1 June 2025, every Wednesday from dawn to dusk, registered photographers will have access to the courtyard of the castle. - In addition to the above, we offer extra photo opportunities at the times of events announced on the website.
- Photography in the castle building is subject to special registration, which can only be done if accompanied by a member of our staff. It is strictly forbidden to be alone in the building. If you wish to take photos inside the building, please contact Annamária Bodor in advance on +36 20 436 8752.
- Please upload your photos directly to your personal account, which is provided separately for each applicant. If you do not have one, please let us know!

Eligibility criteria
- The competition is open to all amateur photographers.
- Submissions should span the four seasons, showing the castle in all its special moments.
- We are looking for the 10 best photos from each applicant showing the castle in different seasons.
- They can share their photos with us via the links provided in the email.
- Please upload your photos in digital format, in high resolution, to the photo competition sub-directory sent by e-mail.
- To be eligible, at least 10 independent applicants must submit their works in accordance with the criteria.
Application period: from 1 June 2024 to 1 June 2025.
Eligibility criteria:
- Technical implementation: Assess the professionalism of the pictures. This includes exposure, focus, colour management and image stabilisation. It is important that the images are sharp and clear.
- Creativity and originality: Look for photos that represent a novel approach or a unique perspective. Creativity can be shown in the choice of subject, composition or even the use of light.
- Relevance of the topic: How does the picture fit the theme "4 seasons in the Öttevényi Földváry castle"? The photos should reflect the castle and its surroundings in the four different seasons.
- Conveying mood and atmosphere: Evaluate how effectively the images convey the mood and atmosphere of the castle and its surroundings at a particular time of year.
- Contact: The overall visual and aesthetic impact of photography. Sometimes an image simply "works", thanks to a harmonious combination of composition, colour and subject matter.
- Reception by the public: If the contest includes a public vote, it is important to take into account the audience's reaction and the number of votes received.
- Relationship with the castle: How the photograph fits in with the history, cultural significance or architectural features of the castle.

The jury will be made up of renowned professional photographers and the owner of the castle, Matusz Balázs.
Submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and those found worthy will be mepublished on the person who took the photo with the name a Facebook and Instagram on our site, videos substance and for the TikTok and the YouToube–on our website. - Applications must be sent to the email address provided no later than midnight on 1 June 2025.
- Winners will be notified 30 days later.
- By submitting images, applicants automatically consent to Földváry Castle's unrestricted and royalty-free use of the images for marketing and promotional purposes.
- The copyright of the images remains with the photographers, but the castle acquires the right to freely use the submitted works.
