Creativity, inspiration and community at Château Földváry
A Château Földváry This is the second time it has hosted a creative retreat for contemporary artists. The historic castle’s unique atmosphere, inspiring surroundings and tranquil creative ambience provide the ideal setting for creative immersion, professional development and the forging of valuable personal connections.
The programme’s artistic director Diána Verebélyi, painter, who uses her professional experience and creative approach to support the participants during their collaborative work. The aim of the artists’ residency is to enable participants to take a break from their everyday lives, draw new inspiration, learn from one another, and create works that fittingly represent the values of contemporary Hungarian art.
The week-long creative camp is not just about artistic development, but also about building a close-knit community. Participants can look forward to full board, an inspiring environment and professional programmes that foster valuable long-term connections and open up new opportunities.
Château Földváry as a creative space
A Château Földváry It is not merely a venue, but an inspiring creative environment, where the unique atmosphere of the historic building, the tranquillity of the park and the proximity to nature create the ideal setting for deep, focused creative work.
The castle’s spaces naturally encourage creativity, professional dialogue and mutually inspiring collaboration.
Participants in the artists’ residency will have the opportunity to:
- to create new works;
- to build inspiring professional relationships;
- to exchange experiences and foster artistic dialogue;
- to learn about the work of other artists;
- to create joint exhibition material;
- to become part of a close-knit creative community.
Full board and accommodation at the castle
Château Földváry will host the participants of the artists’ residency for the entire duration of the programme with full board and comfortable accommodation in a castle awaits them. Shared meals and evening discussions are key elements of the camp’s community life, providing inspiring opportunities for the artists to meet one another.
The castle With 14 exclusive rooms is available. Due to limited capacity, accommodation is primarily reserved for artists travelling from outside the city. We ask participants from Győr to commute daily, if possible, so that we can accommodate even more artists.
On the final day of the artists’ residency, the completed works will be Hotel Garzon Plaza Art & Business Hotel will be displayed in the exhibition space, where they will be unveiled to the public at a formal opening ceremony. The programme is expected to at 5.00 pm ends.
Exhibition and online auction of the completed works
At the end of the artists’ residency, the completed works are first presented in an exhibition, and then the Földváry Auction House will also be made available via an online auction with their contribution.
This opportunity not only provides a platform to showcase one’s work to a wider audience, but also establishes a connection with collectors interested in contemporary art.

The Artists’ Colony Exhibition
The works created during the artists’ residency are the Hotel Garzon Plaza Art & Business Hotel They will be exhibited in its exclusive exhibition space, where both the general public with an interest in contemporary art and collectors will be able to view the completed works.
The exhibition is accompanied by a comprehensive press and marketing communications campaign, and is linked to the Hotel Garzon Plaza’s regularly held Collectors’ Club its events, which provide participants with further opportunities to network professionally.
The works will be exhibited at the Garzon Plaza Art & Business Hotel on display in its special NonStop exhibition space. The exhibition is accompanied by extensive press and marketing activities, including an online opening and a collectors’ club event on 4 November at 17:00. We would like to ask the artists to visit us at the hotel that afternoon, if possible.

Charity in the service of the arts
In keeping with the traditions of the artists’ colony, each participant will donate a work of art to the Château Földváry Non-profit Foundation for him.
All proceeds from sales are used in their entirety to further the foundation’s cultural and community objectives, as well as to support Château Földváry’s long-term mission of preserving its heritage.
