Enikő Kónya
Painter living in Szentendre. He started his artistic studies at a painting school in Zugló with Zsófia Varga, then he graduated from the painting department of the Secondary School of Fine and Applied Arts in Számalk-Szaléz, where his teachers were Andrea Cecilia Szabó, Nikoletta Kováts and János Zoltán Kovács.
His work reveals a highly experimental artist who is brave enough to explore multiple forms of image-making. There is a strong constructivist spirit behind his work and although this might seem to give his art a certain closure, in fact, if we step back from the concept and look only at the paintings themselves, we see that the construction of the pictorial content is light, soft and has an almost musical rhythm, just like the works of his predecessors in Szentendre, such as the work of his highly esteemed Dezső Korniss or the constructivist painting of Endre Bálint.
He is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Artists, and in 2024 he won the main prize of the Ferenc Kóka Inspiration Competition. His works regularly appear in solo and group exhibitions.
