'Four seasons in the castle' - photo competition

The Five Gorges Földváry-Castle "Four éshifts in the kin the deep" – is launching a photo competition for amateur photographers. The aim of the competition is to seasons change by capturing a rich imagees create a collection that can be used in future marketing activities. Photography events

Győr ballet dance and wedding dress show
Date: 2024.06.17

The 2024 collection of the renowned wedding dress designer Nóra Shaman will be presented by the dancers of the Győr Ballet. The production will be accompanied by a linden wood artist and an Old Timer car.

Földváry-castle days
Date: 2024.08.19-20

Discover the magnificent setting of the Földváry castle on 19-20 August 2024, where an exclusive two-day international doll and teddy bear exhibition and antiques fair will be held. Marvel at the most precious treasures of collectors, made memorable with exciting activities for both young and old.

Photography and videography details

  • Photography will be available at the time of the events indicated on the website. 
  • Personal photo opportunities will be scheduled on a per-applicant, by-appointment basis.  
  • The first photo session will also be a special event: the costumed dancers of the Győr Ballet will tour the castle accompanied by a harpist, providing an excellent opportunity for photographers to be creative.

Eligibility criteria

  • The competition is open to all amateur photographers.
  • Submissions should span the four seasons, showing the castle in all its special moments.
  • Each applicant may submit up to 5 photos per season, capturing the appearance of the castle in different seasons.

  • an application will be considered eligible only if at least 10 independent applicants submit their works in accordance with the criteria.

Application period: from 1 June 2024 to 1 June 2025.

Extra topics

We will provide an extra theme for each photo session, and we welcome ideas for this theme via the application email address. Over the next year, there will be opportunities to photograph ballerinas in bridal gowns, models in period costume, deer and peacocks, horse-drawn sleighs in winter, horse-drawn carriages in summer, tennis tournaments, models in swimming pools and other imaginative subjects in the picturesque surroundings of the castle.  

Applicants will be notified by email of any special events related to the castle, so that they can be photographed. This will include the cooking competition and the consecration of the wedding pavilion on 19 August 2024, and on 17 June 2024, dancers from the Győr Ballet will present the 2024 collection of renowned wedding dress designer Nóra Sámán. The dancers will be accompanied by a linden tree artist and an Old Timer car will also be on display.

The Földváry Manor Day is a tradition-making event, including a cooking competition, a wedding gazebo dedication and an antiques fair.

The jury will be made up of renowned professional photographers and the owner of the castle, Matusz Balázs.

Submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and those found worthy will be mepublished on the person who took the photo with the name a Facebook and Instagram on our site, videos substance and for the TikTok and the YouToube–on our website. When it comes to professional wedding photographers, the best work is done by the author with an indication on the website of the wedding Photo gallerywill also be available on, thus facilitating az young couples for the choice of their photographer. 

  • Applications must be sent to the email address provided no later than midnight on 1 June 2025.
  • Winners will be notified 30 days later.
  • By submitting images, applicants automatically consent to Földváry Castle's unrestricted and royalty-free use of the images for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • The copyright of the images remains with the photographers, but the castle acquires the right to freely use the submitted works.
